We Built RealFUEL+ For Athletes Who Wanted Better Fuel

RealFUEL+ began with a problem we kept seeing among runners in Singapore.

Deep into long runs, training sessions, and race day efforts, the same issues often appeared — stomach discomfort, sudden energy dips, and gels that felt overly sweet or difficult to tolerate in heat and humidity.

Many conventional sports gels rely heavily on processed carbohydrate systems such as maltodextrin. They can be effective for some athletes, but not everyone responds the same way, especially in tropical conditions.

We believed there had to be another option.

The Discovery in Greece

During a trip to Greece, we came across a different approach to fuelling.

We discovered Nomad — energy gels made with organic Greek fir honey and functional ingredients, already used by endurance athletes across Europe. Instead of depending purely on synthetic or highly processed sugars, these gels used real-food carbohydrate sources designed to support smoother energy delivery and better tolerance.

We brought the first samples back to Singapore and shared them with local runners.

The feedback was clear: cleaner taste, easier to use, and a fuelling option many athletes felt more comfortable with.

That moment became the start of RealFUEL+.
